He was educated in a premier school in Sri Lanka and Graduated from the Ceylon Hotel School in Colombo, Sri Lanka's capital. In 1971, he proceeded to Germany, where he worked in several hotels for eight years. Thereafter Mr. Seneviratne came to Basel and attended a commerce school. Mr.Seneviratne is responsible for the management of Sri Budhasa. He goes as pioneer in Ayurveda for foreigners in Sri Lanka. Encouraged by a positive experience of his sister in her childhood who was cured with Ayurveda from an illness which was not curable through to western medicine, he was inspired with the idea to make Ayurveda treatment accessible also to people from the western world. This resulted in the opening of the first Ayurveda resort for foreigners in Sri Lanka.
